Copper-sealed Washers Kit NEO tools 534 pcs (MPN 11-974)
Kit of 534 copper-sealed washers from NEO tools designed for creating reliable fluid-tight and gas-tight connections in plumbing, hydraulic and fuel systems as well as for general maintenance and repair tasks. The set contains multiple sizes and quantities of copper crush washers manufactured from copper material that provides good malleability and corrosion resistance. This assortment is intended to replace worn sealing washers, ensure proper sealing under compression and simplify on-site repairs and installations.
The copper construction offers high malleability which allows the washers to compress and form an effective seal on flanges, banjo fittings and threaded joints. Corrosion-resistant properties extend service life in wet and mildly corrosive environments. A large assortment of sizes and a total count of 534 pieces reduce downtime by providing spare seals for multiple repair and maintenance operations. The washers are suitable for repeated use in installation work where a reliable metal-to-metal seal is required.
Select a washer with the correct inner and outer diameter for the fitting or bolt to be sealed. Place the copper washer between the mating surfaces such as a banjo fitting and bolt head or a pipe flange. Tighten the fastener to the manufacturer's recommended torque so the copper washer deforms to fill gaps and create a metal-to-metal seal. Replace the washer whenever the joint is disassembled or if the washer shows signs of flattening, cracking or corrosion.
Use appropriate torque values specified by the equipment manufacturer to avoid over-compressing the copper washer. Store the washers in a dry place to minimise surface oxidation and sort sizes before installation to speed up maintenance tasks.
