Metalworking chisel NEO tools 37-814, 124 g, single-piece
NEO tools 37-814 is a metalworking chisel with a 14 mm blade width and a total weight of approximately 124 g, supplied as a single piece. The blade is manufactured from chrome vanadium steel (CrV) for wear resistance and edge retention. A solid wooden handle with reinforced striking area is fitted to the blade, providing a comfortable grip and protection of the handle structure during light striking. This compact chisel is intended for cutting, shaping and removing metal in light-duty metal fabrication, maintenance and repair and is also suitable for portable toolkits.
The chrome vanadium blade delivers improved hardness and resistance to deformation compared with ordinary mild steel, while the 14 mm cutting width offers controlled material removal for fine metalworking tasks. The wooden handle is ergonomically shaped and includes reinforcement in the striking zone to reduce risk of splitting during occasional hammer blows. Its light weight and single-piece packaging make it convenient to carry in a toolbox or to use during on-site maintenance jobs.
Secure the workpiece before starting and select the correct chisel orientation for the operation. Position the 14 mm blade against the metal surface at the required angle and apply controlled force to cut or remove material. For shaping or cutting, use steady, measured strikes; for cleaning welds or removing rust, use lighter strokes to avoid excessive material removal. When striking the handle, use a hammer appropriate for the chisel and avoid excessive impact that could damage the handle or blade.
Inspect the chisel before each use for signs of wear or damage. Keep the blade sharp and free of nicks for safer and more efficient work. Store the tool in a dry place and avoid excessive moisture to protect both the steel blade and wooden handle. Do not use the chisel on hardened or temper-treated steels beyond its intended light-duty range.
