Hand saw NEO tools 41-161 — manual woodworking saw, weight 326 g, 1 pc
NEO tools 41-161 is a manual woodworking hand saw with a 400 mm blade, designed for general carpentry, DIY and repair tasks that require a portable, non-powered cutting tool. The saw weighs 326 g and is supplied as a single unit. Its lightweight yet robust construction and three-sided sharpened, induction-hardened teeth provide efficient, fast cutting along the grain in timber and similar materials, while an ergonomic non-slip handle and a graduated edge support accurate, stable operation.
The induction-hardened, three-sided sharpened teeth reduce cutting resistance and improve cutting speed, while the 11 TPI toothing offers a coarse, fast cut suitable for dimension timber and general-purpose woodwork. High-resilience steel construction enhances durability and service life. An ergonomic handle with non-slip material increases user control and safety during prolonged use. The saw’s graduated edge enables quick measurement and repeatable cuts without additional tools.
Secure the workpiece and mark the cut line using the graduated edge if needed. Grip the ergonomic handle firmly with one hand and position the saw so the blade engages the wood at a shallow angle for starting the cut. Use smooth, controlled strokes with even pressure; allow the saw’s teeth to perform the cutting action rather than forcing the blade. For rip cuts follow the grain, and for crosscuts use a slightly steeper angle and shorter strokes. Periodically clear sawdust from the kerf and inspect the blade and handle for wear to maintain cutting quality.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and gloves. For best results, choose the correct cutting direction relative to the wood grain and maintain a steady pace to minimize blade wear. Store the saw in a dry place and clean off resin or pitch after use to prolong blade life.
