Protractor NEO tools 72-130 model 72-130 — measuring instrument, single piece
NEO tools 72-130 protractor is a compact handheld measuring instrument designed for angle measurement, layout and rafter calculations on construction sites and in workshops. Supplied as a single piece, the tool combines a roof angle bracket with engraved graduations, a rafter length table and a cutting-angle table to support accurate marking and verification of right angles and pitched-roof geometry. The work surface is abrasion-resistant and the device is intended for manual use in carpentry, metalwork and general building tasks.
The protractor features clearly engraved graduations at 2 mm intervals for reliable linear measurement and durable surface treatment that resists wear from repeated use. Its integrated rafter length table and cutting-angle table reduce the need for separate calculation tools and speed up on-site layout. The compact 600 x 400 mm profile balances portability with a usable layout area, while straightforward markings make it suitable for practical use by craftsmen and hobbyists without specialized instruments.
Place the 600 x 400 mm angle bracket against the workpiece so that the straight edges align with the reference lines or edges. Use the engraved graduations to measure and mark distances at 2 mm resolution, and transfer angles by aligning the bracket’s edges with the desired pitch. Consult the integrated rafter length table and cutting-angle table to determine rafter lengths and cutting angles based on the chosen pitch per metre of projection. Verify right angles by seating the bracket firmly on the surface and checking that adjoining edges follow the bracket’s perpendicular edges.
For best results, keep the surface clean of debris and dust to maintain legibility of the engraved scale. When using the rafter and cutting-angle tables, ensure measurements are taken from the correct reference edge and double-check calculated values before cutting. Store the tool in a dry place to preserve the abrasion-resistant finish and avoid bending or heavy impacts that could affect accuracy.
