Pyrometer NEO tools 75-275 Depth 145 mm Weight 130 g

NEO infrared pyrometer (temperature estimating instrument) measures surface temperatures in the range -50°C to 400°C (C) / -58°F to 752°F (F) with an accuracy of ±1.5% + 1.5°C. The device performs non-contact measurements using an optical system and an infrared sensor, and displays results on a backlit digital screen. It is powered by two 1.5V AA batteries, which are included. The pyrometer is intended for professional use in sectors such as food storage and processing, refrigeration and air conditioning inspection, automotive and machinery maintenance, electrical equipment checks and building diagnostics.

Advantages

The NEO pyrometer provides quick non-contact temperature readings with selectable Celsius and Fahrenheit units and a backlit display for use in low-light conditions. Its compact design and 12:1 optical resolution enable measurements from a safe distance. The device features automatic shutdown to conserve battery power and includes a visible laser pointer for target indication. Supplied with batteries, it is ready for immediate use.

Key specifications

• Measuring range: -50°C to 400°C (C) / -58°F to 752°F (F)
• Accuracy: ±1.5% + 1.5°C
• Optical resolution: 12:1
• Spectral sensitivity: 8–14 µm
• Response time: 500 ms
• Laser class: II, wavelength 650 nm, power <1 mW
• Power supply: 2 × 1.5V AA batteries (included)
• Operating temperature: 0°C to 40°C
• Storage temperature: -20°C to 60°C

How to use

Point the pyrometer at the surface whose temperature you want to measure, ensuring the target area fills the instrument’s field of view according to the 12:1 optical resolution. Use the laser pointer to aim if necessary, then press the measurement trigger and read the temperature on the backlit display. Select Celsius or Fahrenheit as required. Allow the instrument to stabilise on the target for the short response time (approximately 500 ms). Replace batteries when the display indicates low battery and store the device within the recommended temperature range when not in use.

Recommendations

Do not use this pyrometer for medical purposes or to measure human body temperature. For accurate readings, avoid measuring through glass, liquids or steam and ensure the surface is within the specified temperature range. When measuring small or distant targets, confirm that the target size corresponds to the instrument’s optical resolution to minimise measurement error.
