How to use

Aim the pyrometer at the surface to be measured, using the laser pointer to align the target if necessary. Maintain an appropriate distance according to the 12:1 optical resolution so the measurement spot fits the target area. Select Celsius or Fahrenheit on the device, press the measurement trigger and read the temperature on the backlit display. Adjust emissivity when measuring materials with known emissivity values for improved accuracy. Remove hands from the beam path and avoid measuring through transparent materials such as glass. After use, power off or allow automatic shutdown to save battery life.

Recommendations

For best results, consult material emissivity tables when measuring metals or reflective surfaces and ensure the target area is free of steam, dust, or obstructions. Use the pyrometer within the specified operating temperature range and store it in a dry, moderate environment.
