The three-arm configuration ensures even distribution of force for concentric removal and improved stability compared with single- or two-arm pullers. The central forcing screw provides controlled, incremental force for safe extraction of press-fit components. Select the appropriate arm orientation (internal or external) and fit the jaws securely around or behind the component to be removed. Turn the forcing screw clockwise with a suitable wrench or socket to apply steady, controlled axial force until the component slides free. Reverse the screw to release the puller after removal. Inspect the component and mating surfaces for damage and clean contact areas before reassembly.
Use steady, incremental force rather than sudden impacts; apply penetrating lubricant to stuck parts if needed and protect mating surfaces with suitable pads or adapters to prevent scoring. For tightly fitted or corroded components consider applying heat to the housing or using a hydraulic or larger-capacity puller.
