PoE tester NetAlly LinkRunner 10G Advanced Ethernet Tester RJ-45 SFP SFP+
PoE tester NetAlly LinkRunner 10G Advanced Ethernet Tester RJ-45 SFP SFP+
The NetAlly LinkRunner 10G Advanced Ethernet Tester RJ-45 SFP SFP+ is a compact field tester built for PoE validation and high-speed link verification. It supports copper and optical interfaces through RJ-45, SFP and SFP+ ports, and provides battery-powered portability for on-site troubleshooting and acceptance testing. The unit is designed to measure power over Ethernet delivery, link negotiation, and basic cable/connection health while meeting common EMC and FCC requirements for electronic test equipment.
The tester combines PoE analysis and 10G-capable transmission testing in a single handheld instrument, enabling technicians to verify PoE sourcing, measure power levels, and validate link speeds on both copper and fiber links. Its compact form factor and built-in Lithium‑Ion battery facilitate use in closets, racks and remote locations without continuous AC power. Compliance with EMC and FCC standards reduces interference risk during field use, and the inclusion of SFP and SFP+ ports allows testing across a wide range of network media types.
Connect the tester to the network using the appropriate RJ-45 or SFP/SFP+ module for the link under test, power the unit from its internal battery, and select the test mode for PoE or link transmission. For PoE checks, initiate the PoE detection and observe measured voltage and power classification information; for transmission tests, verify link speed negotiation and signal quality indicators. Use the display and any device menus to navigate results, save records locally if supported, and repeat tests across different ports and media types as required.
When performing PoE measurements, allow the tester to complete its detection cycle before interpreting power readings. Use appropriate SFP/SFP+ modules rated for the fiber type and speed being tested, and ensure the device is sufficiently charged for extended field work. Store and transport the tester in protective gear to avoid connector damage and preserve measurement accuracy.
