NEXTBASE 222G Full HD 1080p dash cam is a compact in-car camera that records single-channel road footage with a 140° wide-angle lens. Designed for everyday driving, commuting and trips, the unit captures clear 1080p video to document incidents, traffic conditions and near-miss events. Its compact form factor and simple mounting make it suitable for discreet installation behind the rearview mirror, while continuous recording and automatic loop overwrite ensure ongoing capture without frequent user intervention.
The camera records Full HD 1080p video at a wide 140° field of view to cover multiple lanes and roadside details. Its compact housing reduces visual obstruction and allows for neat placement on the windshield. Automatic loop recording and onboard storage management simplify long-term use, and the device provides clear time-stamped footage useful for insurance claims and incident review. Basic controls and plug-and-play power connection make daily operation straightforward.
Mount the dash cam on the windshield behind the rearview mirror using the supplied adhesive or suction mount so the lens has an unobstructed view of the road. Connect the device to the vehicle power outlet to enable automatic power-up when the vehicle starts. Insert an appropriate microSD card (check compatibility in the user manual) and format it in the camera if required. The unit will record continuously in loop mode, overwriting the oldest files when storage is full. Use the device buttons or on-screen menu to adjust date/time and basic recording settings.
Install the camera at a height and angle that minimize reflection and provide a clear forward view; keep the lens clean and check recorded footage periodically to confirm correct alignment. Use a high-quality, automotive-rated microSD card and format it regularly to maintain reliable recording performance. For critical incidents, save and transfer the relevant video files to external storage as soon as possible.
