Double-sided foam mounting tape Anticor Polytex 560, 19 mm x 1.5 m
Double-sided foam mounting tape Anticor Polytex 560, 19 mm x 1.5 m
Double-sided foam mounting tape Anticor Polytex 560, 19 mm x 1.5 m is a thin, closed-cell foam tape coated with pressure-sensitive adhesive on both faces. Designed for indoor bonding, sealing and mounting of lightweight trims, panels, mirrors and signage, the tape combines conformability with vibration-damping properties to create secure joins on a variety of clean, dry substrates such as painted wood, metal, glass and many plastics. The product is supplied on a roll that is easy to cut to the required length and apply to edges, profiles and flat surfaces.
The foam carrier provides a degree of compression and conformity that compensates for uneven surfaces and thermal movement while the adhesive ensures quick initial tack and long-term adhesion for light-duty applications. The thin profile minimises visible gaps and keeps bonded parts close together. Its double-sided adhesive format removes the need for mechanical fasteners in many installations and offers vibration damping that reduces noise and micro-movement at joints. The tape is easy to cut with standard tools and simple to position during installation.
Ensure surfaces are clean, dry and free of dust, oil or loose paint. Cut the tape to the desired length with scissors or a utility knife. Remove the protective liner from one adhesive face and apply the tape firmly to the first substrate, pressing along its length to ensure full contact. Remove the liner from the exposed adhesive and press the mating surface against the tape with even pressure to achieve a good bond. Allow adhesive to set; full adhesion may increase over time. Avoid application at very low temperatures and do not use on wet or contaminated surfaces.
For best results, test adhesion on a small, inconspicuous area of the substrate before full application. Use on stable, non-porous painted or coated surfaces; for heavy loads or critical structural applications, use mechanical fixings or a structural adhesive instead. Store the tape in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve adhesive performance.
