HDMI to DVI-D cable 2 m, No name S/CONN maximum connectivity
Passive HDMI to DVI-D cable, 2 m length, designed to transmit digital video signals from HDMI source devices to DVI-D displays. The cable features a standard HDMI Male connector on one end and a single-link DVI-D Male connector on the other, supporting digital video transfer up to 7.44 Gbit/s. Its black jacket and two-metre length make it suitable for desktop and near-desk AV connections between computers, media players, set-top boxes and monitors or projectors with DVI-D input.
This HDMI to DVI-D cable provides a straightforward passive connection for digital video without signal conversion, ensuring compatibility between HDMI sources and single-link DVI-D displays. With support for up to 7.44 Gbit/s throughput it reliably carries high-definition video signals over a 2 m span. The fixed connectors remove the need for adapters and reduce potential signal loss compared with multiple adapter chains.
Power off both source and display devices before connecting to avoid hot-plug issues. Insert the HDMI Male end into the HDMI output of the source device and the DVI-D Male end into the DVI-D input of the display until the connectors seat firmly. Power on the devices and select the appropriate input on the display. Adjust the source resolution to a setting supported by the DVI-D display; note that audio is not carried over DVI-D, so a separate audio connection is required if sound is needed.
For best results use this cable for digital video transmission over short to medium distances. Avoid tight bends near the connectors and keep the cable away from large sources of electromagnetic interference. If connecting to a DVI-I or analog-only DVI input, an active converter is required since this cable carries only digital DVI-D signals.
