NORTON abrasive flap disc CP Flex 127 mm P36 — 1 piece
NORTON CP Flex 127 mm P36 is an abrasive flap disc designed for material removal, deburring and surface blending on metal and similar surfaces. The disc combines overlapping abrasive flaps bonded to a flexible backing, providing consistent cutting action and uniform finishing when fitted to an angle grinder. Supplied as a single 127 mm disc with coarse P36 grit, it is intended for tasks where rapid stock removal and surface preparation are required.
The flap configuration offers continuous exposure of fresh abrasive for steady cutting performance and predictable wear. The flexible backing enables conforming to curved or irregular surfaces while maintaining contact for even material removal. Coarse P36 grit provides aggressive cutting for fast stock removal, reducing time for heavy grinding and initial surface shaping. The disc is compatible with standard angle grinders designed for 127 mm consumables.
Mount the NORTON CP Flex 127 mm P36 flap disc on an angle grinder that accepts 127 mm discs, following the grinder manufacturer's instructions for correct fitting and wheel guard positioning. Use appropriate rotational speed within the disc and tool limits. Apply steady, moderate pressure and move the disc across the workpiece to avoid gouging; allow the abrasive to do the cutting. For best results on corners and contoured surfaces, work with the edge of the flaps and maintain a consistent angle to the surface.
Always wear suitable personal protective equipment: safety goggles or a face shield, gloves, ear protection and respiratory protection when grinding metal. Ensure the workpiece is securely clamped and the grinder’s guard is in place. Replace the disc if damage, excessive wear, vibration or uneven performance is observed. For final finishing, consider moving to finer grit flap discs after initial stock removal with P36.
