Icy Dock MB993TP-B Drive Tray for Rack Accessory
Icy Dock MB993TP-B Drive Tray for Rack Accessory
The Icy Dock MB993TP-B is a professional-grade drive tray specifically engineered for use with the Icy Dock MB993 series 2.5-inch SATA and SAS internal mobile rack backplanes. This accessory provides a secure and stable mounting solution for your storage drives, ensuring they remain protected within server or workstation environments. Constructed from high-quality metal, the tray is designed to withstand the rigors of frequent drive swapping while maintaining structural integrity.
The primary benefit of this drive tray is its robust metal construction, which offers superior durability compared to plastic alternatives. Its precise design ensures a perfect fit within compatible mobile racks, facilitating smooth insertion and extraction of drives. The aluminium and black finish provides a professional aesthetic that integrates seamlessly into standard server rack setups, while the lightweight design minimizes additional load on the system.
This drive tray is exclusively designed for the Icy Dock MB993 series mobile racks. It will not be compatible with other drive enclosures, backplanes, or different series of Icy Dock products. It is not intended for use with 3.5-inch hard drives or drives that exceed the physical dimensions supported by the MB993 series.
To use the drive tray, first secure your 2.5-inch SATA or SAS drive into the tray using the appropriate mounting screws. Once the drive is firmly attached, align the tray with the rails of your compatible Icy Dock MB993 mobile rack. Gently slide the tray into the rack until it is fully seated and the locking mechanism engages. To remove the drive, release the latch on the mobile rack and pull the tray out carefully.
Always ensure the system is powered off or the drive is safely ejected from the operating system before removing the tray from the backplane to prevent data corruption.
