Cartridge Canon CLI-8 Pixma IP4200/6600/9000 MG chip PT Magenta
The Canon CLI-8 Pixma IP4200/6600/9000 MG chip Magenta cartridge is an OEM ink supply formulated for color printing on compatible Canon Pixma photo and multifunction printers. It contains magenta dye-based ink designed to reproduce vivid reds and purples, support accurate color mixing in four-color processes, and deliver consistent output for documents and photos. The cartridge is supplied with a chip that communicates ink-level information to the printer and fits the Canon Pixma IP4200, IP6600 and IP9000 models.
The cartridge provides stable color density and reliable nozzle performance to reduce streaking and color variation. Its chip enables the printer to recognise the cartridge and report remaining ink levels for predictable maintenance. As an OEM Canon product, the cartridge is manufactured to match the printer’s feed geometry and electrical contacts, which simplifies installation and minimises the risk of compatibility issues. The magenta ink is optimised for a balance of color saturation and printhead compatibility on Canon dye-ink systems.
To install, open the printer’s cartridge access cover and wait for the carrier to stop. Remove the empty cartridge by pressing the release tab and lifting it out, then unpackage the replacement and remove any protective tape or seals. Insert the new magenta cartridge into the correct color slot until it clicks into place and close the access cover. After installation, allow the printer to perform its initial recognition and priming routine; check the printer display or driver for ink-level confirmation before printing.
Store unused cartridges in their original packaging at room temperature away from direct sunlight and high humidity. For best color consistency in photo printing, use media recommended for dye-based inks and perform regular printhead maintenance cycles as guided by the printer manual. Replace cartridges when the printer indicates low ink or when print quality degrades.
