Conceptronic SATA 1xPCIe Expansion Card with 2x eSATA and 2x iSATA Ports 6Gbps Speed CSATA600EXI

The Conceptronic SATA 1xPCIe Expansion Card with 2x eSATA and 2x iSATA Ports 6Gbps Speed CSATA600EXI is designed to enhance your system storage capabilities and provide flexible connectivity options for desktop computers and workstations. Featuring high data transfer speeds, this controller card allows you to connect multiple storage drives, solid-state drives, and optical devices to your motherboard through a standard PCIe slot for efficient data management.

Advantages

This expansion card significantly increases the number of available storage connection ports on your motherboard without requiring a complete system upgrade. By supporting high-speed data transfer rates up to 6Gbps, it ensures fast and reliable performance when accessing demanding files, running applications, or transferring large amounts of data between internal and external storage devices. The combination of both internal and external ports offers versatile setup options for various hardware configurations and storage enclosures.

Suitable for

• Upgrading desktop computers and workstations with additional storage ports
• Connecting high-speed solid-state drives and hard disk drives
• Attaching external storage enclosures via eSATA ports
• Integrating internal optical devices and SATA storage drives

When it may not be suitable

This expansion card is not suitable for laptops or systems that lack an available PCI Express slot. It will not fit in standard PCI slots or modern M.2 slots without appropriate physical adapters.

Key specifications

• Host interface: 1x PCIe
• Internal ports: 2x iSATA
• External ports: 2x eSATA
• Maximum data transfer speed: 6Gbps

How to use

To install the expansion card, power down your computer, unplug the power cord, and open the computer case. Insert the card firmly into an available PCI Express slot on the motherboard and secure the bracket to the chassis. Connect your internal SATA cables to the iSATA ports and your external devices to the eSATA ports. Close the case, reconnect the power, and start your system. Operating systems typically recognize the controller automatically, though specific drivers may be required depending on your OS version.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify that your computer motherboard has an available PCIe slot of the correct size
• Check if your power supply unit can support additional connected storage devices
• Ensure your operating system is compatible with standard SATA controller expansion cards

Usage recommendations: Handle the expansion card by its edges to avoid static discharge, and ensure your system is completely powered off and disconnected from the mains electricity before installation.
