Water filtration bottle LifeStraw LGV422GYWW 0.65 L Black/Translucent — 99.99% bacteria removal, NSF certified
LifeStraw LGV422GYWW is a 0.65 L water filtration bottle designed to provide on-the-go access to safer drinking water. The bottle integrates a two-stage filtration system — a membrane microfilter that removes 99.99% of bacteria and a carbon stage that reduces chlorine, odors and organic chemical matter — and comes in a black/translucent finish. Constructed from BPA-free materials with partial post-consumer recycled plastic content and weighing approximately 247 g, the bottle is intended for hiking, travel, emergency preparation and everyday use. The replaceable cartridge design and NSF-compliant performance support extended, reliable filtration for individual use.
The LifeStraw LGV422GYWW removes 99.99% of bacteria and reduces chlorine, odors and other taste-affecting substances, delivering clearer, better-tasting water from a variety of freshwater sources. Its two-stage filter combines a long-lasting membrane microfilter with an activated carbon element for complementary protection against bacteria, parasites, microplastics, silt and cloudiness. The bottle is BPA-free, lightweight and uses partially recycled plastic, reducing reliance on single-use bottles while remaining portable for daily carry or travel.
The bottle is designed for treating biological contaminants and improving taste; it is not intended to remove dissolved heavy metals, salts, or most chemical pollutants beyond what the activated carbon stage can reduce. Users requiring treatment for industrial contaminants, desalination, or long-term family-level purification may need larger-scale or specialized systems. Additionally, the carbon element has a limited service life and requires periodic replacement to maintain performance.
Fill the bottle from a freshwater source, secure the lid, and drink through the mouthpiece so water passes through the integrated filter stages. Follow manufacturer guidance for priming the filter before first use if required, and replace the carbon element and/or cartridge according to the service life recommendations to ensure continued removal of bacteria and improvement of taste. Rinse and dry the bottle components when cleaning and store with the cap open to allow the filter to air-dry between uses if not used frequently.
Use the LifeStraw LGV422GYWW for single-person hydration during hikes, travel, or emergency situations where biological contamination is the primary concern. Replace the carbon element at intervals consistent with manufacturer guidance, clean the bottle regularly, and avoid using the bottle for water sources known to contain industrial chemicals, heavy metals, or seawater.
