Onnline PG7 Cable Gland 3.5-6.5mm IP67 Light Grey
The Onnline PG7 cable gland is a high-quality component engineered for the secure and reliable entry of cables into electrical enclosures, junction boxes, and control panels. Designed to maintain the integrity of your electrical systems, this gland provides a robust seal that protects internal components from environmental factors. Its light grey finish ensures a professional appearance, while the durable construction offers long-term performance in various industrial and commercial environments.
This cable gland offers excellent strain relief, which prevents cables from being pulled or twisted, thereby protecting the electrical connections from damage. The IP67 ingress protection rating guarantees that the unit is completely dust-tight and capable of withstanding temporary immersion in water, making it ideal for demanding conditions. The design facilitates quick and easy installation, ensuring a tight seal around the cable jacket to maintain the enclosure's protective rating.
This product is specifically designed for cables with a diameter between 3.5mm and 6.5mm. It will not provide an effective seal for cables outside of this range. Additionally, it is not intended for high-pressure underwater applications or environments exposed to extreme chemical corrosives that may degrade the plastic material.
To install the Onnline PG7 cable gland, first insert the gland body through the pre-drilled hole in your enclosure wall and secure it firmly with the included locknut. Once the gland is mounted, loosen the dome nut slightly, pass your cable through the gland, and tighten the dome nut until the internal seal compresses firmly around the cable jacket. This action ensures both a secure grip on the cable and a watertight seal.
For optimal performance and to maintain the IP67 rating, ensure the dome nut is tightened sufficiently to create a uniform seal around the cable. Avoid over-tightening, which could potentially damage the plastic threads or the internal sealing gasket.
