Rainsleeve camera raincover OP/TECH USA OP/TECH9001142 DSLR camera
The OP/TECH USA Rainsleeve camera raincover is a compact, transparent protective sleeve designed to shield DSLR cameras, lenses and shoe-mounted flashes from rain, sand and snow. Made for outdoor photography, the Rainsleeve allows full view through the camera viewfinder and keeps camera and lens controls visible and operable while providing a snug, drawstring closure that fits most lenses and can be used handheld or on a tripod. Each package contains two sleeves.
The Rainsleeve combines lightweight, pocketable storage with a pliable, clear material that adapts to most viewfinders so you can compose through the lens rather than through plastic. Camera and lens controls remain accessible and usable. The Flash version includes extra internal space to accommodate a shoe-mounted flash. The drawstring opening secures lenses up to 7 inches (17.8 cm) in diameter and, depending on the version, up to 18 inches (45.7 cm) or 14 inches (35.6 cm) in length.
Place the camera and attached lens into the sleeve and tighten the drawstring around the lens barrel to form a snug seal. Align the eyepiece opening with your camera viewfinder so you can compose through the lens; the pliable material permits access for quick disconnects, tripod mounts or strap attachments as needed. For the Flash version, position the sleeve so the flash unit fits within the extra internal space. Verify quick disconnects lock securely if routing them through the sleeve material. Use handheld or mount the camera on a tripod; for long lenses, attach the tripod foot through the pliable material.
Store the Rainsleeve folded in a camera bag or pocket for quick access. Check that drawstring closures are secure and that quick disconnects and tripod mounts have a positive lock before extended use in wet conditions. Choose the Flash version when using a shoe-mounted flash; otherwise the standard Rainsleeve accommodates longer lenses up to 18 inches.
