ORICO 4-Port USB 3.0 hub (model PW4U-U3) expands a single USB Type-A port into four USB 3.0 Type-A ports, providing up to 5 Gbps transfer rates and backward compatibility with USB 2.0/1.1 devices. The compact ABS housing incorporates a 15 cm cable and a device status LED; the hub supports plug-and-play operation and is compatible with Windows, macOS and Linux. OTG use with smartphones or tablets is possible if the mobile device supports OTG and an OTG cable/adapter is used (not included).
The hub offers simultaneous independent operation of four USB ports with fast USB 3.0 data processing and a small, lightweight design suitable for portable use. Built-in protections guard against overheating, overvoltage and overload. Certification includes CE, FCC and UKCA, and a 12-month warranty is provided.
Connect the hub's USB Type‑A plug to a host computer or OTG‑capable mobile device (OTG cable/adapter required for mobile devices). Insert USB peripherals into any of the four USB 3.0 Type‑A ports. The device is plug‑and‑play and should be recognised automatically by supported operating systems; for some external drives a drive letter or formatting may be required by the OS.
For best performance, connect high‑speed devices (external SSDs, USB 3.0 flash drives) to the hub when the host port supports USB 3.0. When using multiple power‑hungry devices, consider using a powered USB hub or connecting certain peripherals directly to the host to avoid power limitations.
