Outdoor light fitting ORNO 8080T-TRIO/MS/PL with microwave motion sensor, 75W, E27, IP44, IK10, transparent polycarbonate, cable glands
ORNO 8080T-TRIO/MS/PL is an outdoor light fitting designed for wall or ceiling mounting with an integrated microwave motion sensor for automatic on/off switching. The fitting accepts an E27 lamp up to 75W and combines IP44 ingress protection with IK10 impact resistance. The transparent polycarbonate housing provides visible illumination while cable glands ensure safe and sealed cable entry. This product is intended for use at building entrances, walkways and external utility areas where reliable detection and robust construction are required.
The unit features microwave motion detection that covers a wide area and reacts to movement through non-contact sensing, reducing false triggers from temperature changes. IP44 protection offers resistance against splashing water and moderate dust exposure, while IK10 classification indicates high impact resistance for enhanced durability. The transparent polycarbonate body provides clear light transmission and resists outdoor environmental effects. Integrated cable glands simplify installation by providing a secure, sealed cable entry point.
Install the fitting on a suitable flat wall or ceiling surface following local electrical regulations and safety standards. Ensure power is switched off before making connections. Feed supply cables through the integrated cable glands and secure them; connect live, neutral and earth conductors to the corresponding terminals. Mount the unit firmly using appropriate fasteners for the substrate. Fit a suitable E27 lamp up to 75W or an LED equivalent, restore power and allow the microwave sensor to initialise. The sensor will automatically switch the light on when motion is detected within its range and off after the configured hold time.
Position the fitting to provide unobstructed coverage of the desired detection area and avoid aiming the sensor toward large heat sources (e.g., HVAC outlets) to minimise false triggers. Choose LED lamps with appropriate lumen output and colour temperature for the intended area to improve energy efficiency and visual comfort. Regularly inspect seals and cable glands for signs of wear and ensure the housing is kept clean to maintain sensor performance and light transmission.
