Motion sensor ORNO OR-CR-265 — 240° detection, 1200W load, IP65, 2 sensors, 3 mounting options (white)
ORNO OR-CR-265 is a white motion sensor designed for automatic control of lighting and basic security automation. The device provides a 240° detection angle and supports loads up to 1200 W, making it compatible with a wide range of lighting fixtures. With IP65 protection and two sensing elements, the unit is suitable for both indoor and outdoor installations where moisture and dust resistance are required. The sensor offers three mounting options — wall, ceiling and corner — to accommodate different installation layouts and coverage needs.
The ORNO OR-CR-265 combines a wide 240° field of view with dual sensing elements to reduce blind spots and improve detection reliability. Rated for up to 1200 W load, it can handle many common lighting types. IP65 ingress protection provides resistance to dust and water jets, allowing use in exposed locations. Multiple mounting options increase flexibility for positioning the sensor to achieve optimal coverage for entrances, corridors and outdoor areas.
Install the sensor in a location that provides a clear field of view for the area to be monitored, selecting wall, ceiling or corner mounting as appropriate. Connect the sensor wiring to the lighting circuit following local electrical codes and ensure power is isolated during installation. Adjust the sensor orientation and any available sensitivity or time-delay settings according to the required detection range and desired switch-off delay. After installation, test the sensor by walking through the coverage area to confirm reliable activation and correct time-out behavior.
For best performance, avoid pointing the sensor directly at heat sources, HVAC vents or reflective surfaces that may cause false triggers. Position the unit 2–3 metres above the monitored area where possible, and choose the mounting option that minimises obstructions in the detection zone. Regularly check the sealing and cable entries to maintain IP65 protection in outdoor installations.
