Insulated copper ferrules ORNO OR-KK-8100/2,5/8, 2.5 mm² max cross-section, 8 mm copper sleeve, 100 pcs
Insulated copper ferrules ORNO OR-KK-8100/2,5/8 are crimp connectors designed for stranded copper conductors with a maximum cross-section of 2.5 mm². Each ferrule has an 8 mm copper sleeve and a protective insulation collar that secures wire strands, improves contact reliability and ensures consistent termination in terminal blocks, control panels and other electrical connections. The pack contains 100 ferrules intended for professional and DIY electrical work.
These ferrules provide reliable mechanical and electrical connection by compressing stranded conductors into a uniform profile that reduces the risk of loose strands and poor contact. The copper sleeve offers good conductivity and corrosion resistance, while the insulation collar provides strain relief and simplifies identification during installation. Supplied in a bulk pack of 100, they facilitate repetitive terminations and save time on multiple wiring tasks.
Prepare the stranded conductor by stripping the insulation to the appropriate length, insert the conductor fully into the ferrule so strands are contained within the copper sleeve, and use a suitable crimping tool matched to the ferrule size to compress the sleeve evenly. After crimping, inspect the termination to ensure the insulation collar sits flush with the wire insulation and that no stray strands protrude. Insert the crimped ferrule into the terminal and tighten the screw according to the connector manufacturer's torque specification.
Use a dedicated insulated ferrule crimping tool sized for 2.5 mm² ferrules to achieve consistent, gas-tight connections. Avoid using pliers or generic crimpers that may deform the sleeve. For long runs or critical circuits, check terminations periodically and follow local electrical codes for installation practices.
