Osram Vialox NAV-E 50 W E27 is a high-output sodium lamp designed for general exterior and industrial lighting applications. The lamp delivers 3600 lm of luminous flux at a warm 2000 K colour temperature, producing the characteristic warm sodium light. Its E27 screw base and compact dimensions (Ø71 × 156 mm) make it compatible with many standard luminaires intended for street, outdoor and industrial environments. The lamp operates from an AC 85 V supply and is supplied in multi-packs for bulk installation.
The sodium discharge technology provides high luminous efficacy and long operating life compared with many conventional technologies, offering stable light output suitable for large-area illumination. The warm 2000 K output improves visibility in outdoor settings by reducing glare and enhancing contrast for certain road and industrial uses. The E27 cap and compact shape allow easy replacement in fixtures designed for screw-base lamps, simplifying maintenance and installation processes.
Ensure the luminaire is compatible with high-pressure sodium lamps and that the fixture and control gear are rated for use with discharge lamps. Before installation, switch off mains power and allow existing lamp and fixture components to cool. Screw the lamp into an appropriate E27 socket until secure.
