Metal-halide bulb Osram NAV-T 50 W SUPER 4Y — 50 W, 2000 K, 156 mm
Osram NAV-T 50 W SUPER 4Y is a 50 W metal-halide lamp engineered to provide stable, warm light with a colour temperature of 2000 K. The lamp has a tubular design with a total length of 156 mm and a diameter of 3.6 cm. Designed for use in professional luminaires, this metal-halide bulb delivers a long rated lifetime, steady luminous output at a rated current of 750 mA, and contains a small amount of mercury necessary for its discharge operation. Typical energy consumption is approximately 58 kWh per 1000 hours.
The lamp offers a long average lifetime of around 28,000 hours, reducing the frequency of replacements in installations. Its warm 2000 K colour temperature produces an amber to warm-white appearance suitable for applications that require lower colour temperatures. The compact tubular form and standardized electrical characteristics make it compatible with many professional metal-halide fixtures. The lamp’s stable current rating supports consistent light output when used with appropriate control gear.
Install the lamp only into compatible professional metal-halide luminaires with appropriate lamp holders and control gear that support a 750 mA rated current. Ensure the luminaire is switched off and cool before replacing lamps. Follow the luminaire and ballast manufacturer’s instructions for starting and operation; use the correct ignitor or ballast type for metal-halide lamps. Allow the lamp to reach stable operation after ignition before assessing light output and colour. Dispose of the lamp according to local regulations for waste containing mercury.
Operate the lamp within the specified ballast and fixture parameters to maintain rated life and stable light output. Avoid frequent on/off switching that can reduce lamp life. For installations where mercury disposal is regulated, use appropriate recycling or collection services.
