Repair kit Park Tool BBT-30.4 Bicycle bracket tool Universal
The Park Tool BBT-30.4 Bottom Bracket Bearing Tool Set is a universal repair kit for installing and removing bearings used in BB30, PressFit 30 (PF30), 386EVO, BBright™, PF121 and other 30mm spindle bottom bracket systems. The set includes a bushing set that works with a head cup press (for example HHP-2 or HHP-3) to press bearings accurately into the bottom bracket shell, and a BB30 bearing remover that pushes bearings out from inside the shell.
The kit provides precise alignment and controlled pressing of BB30 and PF30 bearings, reducing the risk of damage during installation. Its inside-shell bearing remover simplifies extraction without requiring significantly disassembly. The BBT-30.4 is compatible with multiple 30mm-spindle standards, making it a versatile toolset for workshop and field maintenance.
Mount the appropriate bushings from the BBT-30.4 into a compatible head cup press (e.g., HHP-2 or HHP-3). Position the bearing and align the press so the bearing is square to the shell, then operate the press to install the bearing slowly and evenly until seated. To remove a bearing, insert the included BB30 bearing remover into the shell from the inside and use a press or driver as instructed to push the bearing out. Follow the press manufacturer's instructions and use steady, controlled force throughout the procedure.
Inspect the frame’s shell for dirt, damage or burrs before installation; clean and lightly grease contact surfaces if recommended by the bearing or frame manufacturer. Use compatible press tools only and avoid hammering bearings to prevent damage. If unsure about fitment or procedure, consult a professional mechanic.
