Service kit Park Tool CCP-44 — bicycle crankset tool, black, 1 pc
Park Tool CCP-44 service kit — bicycle crankset tool, black, 1 pc is a single-piece tool designed for removing crank arms from cranksets that use splined interfaces without a self-extracting system. The tool is supplied as a compact, black unit with a long handle to provide comfortable leverage during disassembly. It is intended for use in workshop or home maintenance when servicing cranksets and compatible bottom bracket spindles.
The CCP-44 features an extra-fine 22 x 1 mm thread that delivers the mechanical advantage needed to remove tight or seized crank arms. A long, comfortable handle increases torque while reducing hand fatigue during repetitive use. The strong rotating tip system promotes smooth operation and durable performance over repeated service cycles.
Fit the CCP-44 onto the crank arm interface, aligning the splined engagement with the crank spindle. Turn the tool’s threaded section using the long handle so the fine thread advances against the crank spindle and extracts the crank arm. Continue turning until the crank arm separates from the spindle. Use controlled, steady force to avoid cross-threading or damaging the crank interface.
Use the CCP-44 only on compatible splined interfaces such as Shimano Octalink and ISIS Drive crank arms that lack a self-extracting feature. Inspect threads and contact surfaces for contamination before use, and apply light lubrication to the tool thread if needed to prevent galling. When removing very tight crank arms, protect surrounding components and apply steady, even pressure to reduce risk of damage.
