Dash camera Peiying Basic D200 2.5K car DVR, model PY-DVR012
Peiying Basic D200 2.5K car DVR is a dash camera designed for in-vehicle video recording at 2.5K resolution. The PY-DVR012 captures road events with improved detail compared to Full HD, supports continuous loop recording and incident detection, and provides footage suitable for safety review, insurance claims and everyday documentation of driving activity. The compact form factor is intended for discreet installation on the windshield without obstructing the driver’s view.
The dash camera records at 2.5K resolution, delivering clearer image detail for licence plates and road signs than standard 1080p cameras. Continuous loop recording ensures older footage is automatically overwritten while the device saves detected incidents separately to preserve evidence. The unit includes incident capture functionality that triggers recording on sudden motion or impact, and is engineered for straightforward mounting and operation in typical passenger vehicles.
Mount the dash camera on the windshield near the rearview mirror following vehicle manufacturer guidance to avoid obstructing the driver’s view. Connect the device to the vehicle power outlet or a hardwired power source so the camera powers on and begins loop recording automatically when the vehicle is started. Configure date/time and any incident sensitivity settings using the on-device menu or companion app if available. When an impact or sudden movement is detected, the camera will lock the current recording to prevent it from being overwritten.
For reliable evidence capture, ensure the lens is clean and positioned to have an unobstructed forward view. Use a high-quality memory card from a reputable brand and format it in the camera before first use. Regularly check recorded footage to verify correct time/date and operation, and replace the memory card periodically according to usage intensity to prevent file corruption.
