Brass drain plug Perfexim Korek mosiężny GZ 1/2" – Perfexim 07-201-0150-000
Perfexim Korek mosiężny GZ 1/2" is a brass drain plug designed for plumbing systems with a GZ 1/2" (1/2 inch) female threaded port. The solid brass construction offers corrosion resistance and mechanical durability for sealing or closing pipe ends, fittings, radiators and valves in water and heating installations. The plug provides a metal alternative to plastic caps where higher temperature tolerance and long-term stability are required.
The brass material ensures resistance to corrosion, scaling and galvanic effects common in water and heating systems, while maintaining dimensional stability under temperature changes. The threaded GZ 1/2" connection gives a secure mechanical seal when properly tightened, reducing the risk of leaks. Its compact design allows installation in confined spaces and compatibility with standard 1/2" female threads used in pipework and heating fixtures.
Before installation, ensure the receiving female thread is clean and free of debris or old sealing material. Apply an appropriate thread sealant (such as PTFE tape or pipe dope) to the plug threads if a leak-tight connection is required. Hand-start the plug into the female port and tighten with a wrench until snug; avoid excessive torque that could damage threads. For removal, use a wrench to back the plug out; if the plug is corroded or tightly seated, apply penetrating lubricant and allow time before attempting removal.
Use the brass drain plug in potable water and standard heating systems; verify compatibility with system fluids and temperatures. For sealed or pressurized systems, confirm that proper sealing materials and correct torque are applied. Inspect periodically for signs of corrosion or loosening and retighten or replace as necessary.
