Cable Crimper Phoenix Contact 1212045
The Phoenix Contact 1212045 cable crimper is a hand tool for precise crimping of ferrules and insulated ferrules according to DIN 46228 (Part 1 and Part 4). It accepts conductor cross-sections from 0.14 mm² to 10 mm² and features a lateral entry and an unlockable pressure lock. At 175 mm length and approximately 380 g weight, the tool is designed for comfortable handling in electrical installation and wiring work.
The crimper provides reliable, repeatable crimps for non-insulated and insulated ferrules within the specified cross-section range. The unlockable pressure lock ensures consistent crimp force while allowing quick release when needed. Its lateral entry design facilitates insertion of ferrules in confined spaces and improves ergonomics during repetitive use.
Prepare the conductor to the correct stripped length, select the appropriate ferrule for the conductor cross-section, and insert the ferrule into the lateral entry of the crimper. Squeeze the handles until the pressure lock engages and the crimp cycle completes, then unlock the pressure lock to release the tool from the crimped ferrule. Inspect the crimped connection visually to ensure correct compression and mechanical retention.
Use the tool only with ferrules that conform to DIN 46228 Parts 1 or 4 and within the specified cross-section range. Regularly inspect the crimping dies for wear and keep the tool clean and lightly lubricated at pivot points to maintain consistent performance.
