PLA Matte Filament Phrozen — ELEGOO Black, 1.75 mm, 1 kg spool
Matte PLA filament Phrozen sold under the ELEGOO label, black color, 1.75 mm diameter on a 1 kg spool for FDM/FFF desktop 3D printers. This PLA is a biodegradable thermoplastic suitable for general-purpose models, prototypes and household prints. The matte formulation produces a low-gloss surface that reduces shine, emphasizes fine details and minimizes visible layer reflections while remaining compatible with standard PLA printing temperatures and common printer hardware.
The filament offers a consistent 1.75 mm diameter and uniform extrusion for reliable layer adhesion and dimensional accuracy. Its matte finish improves the visual appearance of curved surfaces and fine textures by reducing specular highlights. As a PLA material, it prints with lower warping and minimal odor compared with many engineering plastics, allowing predictable results on most consumer FDM/FFF printers when using typical PLA settings.
Load the 1.75 mm filament into the printer according to your machine manufacturer's instructions. Begin with standard PLA print settings: typical nozzle temperatures in the range recommended by the printer or filament supplier, and a heated bed if available set to common PLA values or left unheated depending on adhesion method. Use moderate print speeds and layer heights appropriate for the level of detail required. Allow printed parts to cool between operations to preserve the matte surface appearance.
For best results, dry the filament if it has been exposed to moisture before printing and store the spool in a dry, cool place. Calibrate extrusion multiplier and retraction settings as needed to minimize stringing while maintaining surface quality. Post-processing such as light sanding can further reduce any remaining sheen, and standard PLA adhesives and paints are generally compatible with the matte finish.
