PLA+ Filament Phrozen (Orange) — 1.75 mm, 1 kg, for FDM 3D Printing
Phrozen PLA+ Filament in orange is a 1.75 mm diameter, 1 kg spool formulated for FDM desktop 3D printers. This PLA+ filament combines the ease of printing associated with standard PLA and improved mechanical and surface properties, resulting in smoother finishes and reliable layer adhesion for general-purpose prototypes, models and decorative parts. The filament is supplied on a standard spool suitable for most consumer and prosumer FDM machines and is intended to be used with typical PLA print settings.
PLA+ offers better surface quality and slightly increased toughness compared with standard PLA while retaining low-warp behaviour and compatibility with common FDM extruders. The orange color provides consistent pigmentation for visual prototypes and decorative items. The 1.75 mm diameter is widely supported by desktop printers, and the 1 kg spool size provides a practical balance between print volume and storage.
Load the 1.75 mm filament into your FDM printer according to the manufacturer's filament loading procedure. Begin with standard PLA print settings: nozzle temperature in the typical PLA range, a moderate print speed and layer height appropriate for your model. Use a heated bed if your printer recommends it for improved first-layer adhesion—typical bed temperatures for PLA-family materials are low compared with engineering plastics. Ensure the filament path is free of obstructions and calibrate extrusion multiplier or flow rate for accurate dimensional results.
For optimal results, store the spool in a dry place or sealed bag with desiccant to prevent moisture uptake. If prints exhibit stringing or poor surface finish, fine-tune nozzle temperature and retraction settings. Use a brim or raft for small footprints to improve bed adhesion when necessary.
