Tabletop wireless router PLANET WBS-512AC delivers Wi‑Fi 5 (802.11ac) connectivity with combined WLAN throughput up to 900 Mbps and backward compatibility with 802.11a/n. The device includes two Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports (10/100/1000 Mbps) in a compact white IP55-rated housing designed for indoor and protected outdoor deployments. It supports common IEEE networking standards and security protocols including WEP, WPA, WPA2 and 802.1X, and maintains a 32-entry MAC address table for access control. The WBS-512AC offers PoE support for flexible installation locations and multiple operating modes for point-to-point and point-to-multipoint use.
The WBS-512AC combines 802.11ac Wave 2 performance with MU‑MIMO benefits to improve throughput and multi-client efficiency in congested environments. Its IP55 enclosure and PoE capability allow deployment in protected outdoor or challenging indoor locations without nearby power outlets. Built-in features such as multiple SSIDs with VLAN tagging, 802.1X authentication and a simple DIP-switch setup for PtP connections simplify network segmentation, secure access and rapid installation. Management tools and a GUI setup wizard further streamline configuration and remote administration.
Mount the WBS-512AC in a protected outdoor location or indoor tabletop position and connect a PoE injector or DC supply depending on availability.
