With the Platinet multimedia adapter PLATINET 45984 you can expand a computer or smart device equipped with a USB‑C port by adding an external monitor, projector, USB drives and peripherals while keeping the host device charged. The 3‑in‑1 adapter converts a USB Type‑C port to HDMI and USB‑A and also provides USB‑C Power Delivery passthrough so the connected laptop, tablet or smartphone can be charged up to 100 W.
The adapter supports video output to displays up to 4K at 30 Hz or Full HD at 60 Hz and offers fast data transfer via USB 3.2 at rates up to 10 Gb/s. It includes a dedicated USB‑C PD input for pass‑through charging up to 100 W, a full‑size HDMI port and a USB‑A port for keyboards, mice and storage devices. The housing is made of durable but lightweight aluminium, and the PLATINET 45984 is compatible with computers, laptops, tablets and smartphones that have a USB‑C port with video support.
Connect the PLATINET 45984 multimedia adapter to a host device’s USB‑C port. Plug an HDMI cable from the adapter to an external monitor or projector for video output. Insert USB‑A peripherals such as a mouse, keyboard or storage device into the USB‑A port. To charge the host device while using the adapter, connect a USB‑C power adapter (up to 100 W) to the adapter’s USB‑C PD input.
For optimal results use a USB‑C port on the host device that explicitly supports DisplayPort Alt Mode. Use high‑quality HDMI and USB‑C cables rated for the required resolution and power delivery; ensure the power adapter supports the necessary wattage for charging.
