Plastering float Polax 130×270×3 mm plastic — hand tool for smoothing plaster
Polax plastering float 130×270×3 mm is a compact hand tool for leveling and finishing plaster, putty and cement-based mixes on interior walls and ceilings. The plastic construction offers a balance of low weight and dimensional stability that helps maintain a consistent working pressure across the treated surface. The tool profile and edges are designed for smoothing, removing excess material and achieving a uniform substrate before painting or other finishing.
The plastic body reduces user fatigue during extended use while remaining resistant to moisture and common construction-site contaminants. Its flat 130×270 mm working face and 3 mm thickness provide a stable platform for applying even pressure, producing a smoother surface than trowels with more flexible blades. The material is easy to clean and does not rust, which simplifies maintenance and storage.
Hold the Polax plastering float with a comfortable, firm grip and apply plaster or putty to the work surface using a hawk or trowel. Spread the material evenly and draw the float across the surface with consistent pressure to level and smooth the coat. Work in overlapping passes and maintain a slight angle as needed to remove excess material. After initial smoothing, allow the layer to set according to the material manufacturer's instructions and perform final passes to refine the surface before painting or decorating.
Use the float on substrates cleared of dust and loose particles for best adhesion. Clean the tool after each use with water and a brush before material hardens. For large or heavily textured surfaces, combine with a larger metal or sponge float where increased rigidity or a different finish is required.
