Drill mixer bit Polax SDS-plus 100×600 mm model 31-002
Polax SDS-plus drill mixer bit model 31-002 with a 100×600 mm profile is engineered for efficient mixing of construction materials such as plaster, cement mortars, paints and adhesives when used with SDS-plus compatible drills or mixing machines. The 100 mm diameter and 600 mm overall length allow deep penetration into buckets and drums to achieve homogeneous mixes for medium to large batches, reducing air entrapment and shortening mixing time on site or in the workshop.
The SDS-plus connection enables quick and secure mounting in compatible rotary or hammer drills with adapter sleeves; the robust shaft and helical mixing paddles are designed to withstand the torsional forces typical of dense pastes and mortars. The length and paddle design promote continuous recirculation inside the container to minimize lumps and provide even distribution of pigments and additives. The steel construction and protective finish provide resistance to abrasion and moderate corrosion under normal construction use.
Insert the SDS-plus shank into a compatible drill or mixer and ensure it is securely locked before operation. Place the mixer bit into the material container and run the drill at low speed to start incorporating components, then increase speed as needed while maintaining firm control of the tool. Move the mixer up and down slowly inside the bucket to promote circulation and avoid splashing. After achieving a uniform consistency, stop the tool and allow any residual material to drain back into the container before removing the bit.
Operate the mixing bit within the drill manufacturer’s recommended speed and torque limits for SDS-plus accessories. Use appropriate personal protective equipment such as eye protection, gloves and a dust mask when mixing powdered materials. Clean the mixer thoroughly after each use to prevent material buildup; a brief soak and mechanical removal of residue will extend service life. For very viscous or highly abrasive mixes, reduce mixing speed and consider mixing smaller batches to avoid overstressing the tool.
