Poly Polymaker PA06001 is a black 1.75 mm polylactic acid (PLA) filament supplied on a 750 g spool for FDM 3D printers. Designed for general-purpose prototyping, modelling and household parts, this PLA offers straightforward printability, low warping and broad compatibility with standard desktop printers that accept 1.75 mm filament.

Advantages

This PolyMax™ PLA-based filament combines the ease of printing typical for PLA with improved mechanical behaviour due to nano-reinforcement technology. The formulation increases ductility so printed parts are less likely to break and are able to deform plastically before fracture. How to use

Load the 1.75 mm filament into a compatible desktop FDM printer and select a PLA material profile. Set nozzle temperature between 190 °C and 230 °C and adjust print speed in the 40–60 mm/s range depending on part detail. Use a heated bed set between 25 °C and 60 °C when necessary to improve adhesion; many small or well-adhered parts can be printed with minimal bed heating. Configure retraction based on your printer’s extrusion system: for direct drive setups start with 1 mm retraction at 20 mm/s; for Bowden/indirect drive systems try 3 mm at 40 mm/s. If the filament has absorbed moisture, dry at 55 °C for approximately 6 hours before printing.

Usage recommendations

For improved dimensional stability and layer adhesion, calibrate extrusion multiplier and first-layer height before production prints. Keep printed parts away from prolonged exposure to temperatures above the material’s glass transition (~60 °C). For applications requiring higher heat resistance consider switching to PETG variants. Store the filament in a cool, dry place and reseal the spool in a moisture-proof bag when not in use.
