3D printing filament Powerton ASA ECONOMY LINE 1000 g velvet black
Powerton ASA ECONOMY LINE 1000 g velvet black is a standard-diameter FDM/FFF 3D printing filament formulated from ASA (Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylate). It is supplied on a 1000 g spool in a velvet black color and is intended for applications that require improved weatherability and UV resistance compared with standard ABS-type materials. The filament is suitable for prototyping and for producing functional parts and exterior components exposed to sunlight and outdoor conditions.
This ASA filament offers enhanced resistance to UV radiation and outdoor weathering while maintaining good dimensional stability and mechanical properties typical for ASA. The velvet black finish provides an even matte surface that reduces visible layer artifacts. The ECONOMY LINE formulation balances performance and cost for projects where durability and sun resistance are needed without premium-grade pricing.
Load the filament into a compatible FDM/FFF 3D printer following the printer manufacturer’s instructions. Use typical ASA print settings: heated bed and elevated nozzle temperature for good adhesion and layer bonding. Ensure proper bed adhesion methods and controlled cooling to reduce warping. Dry the filament before printing if it has been stored in humid conditions to maintain print quality.
For best results, print ASA on a heated bed at recommended temperatures for your printer and consider an enclosed build chamber or reduced cooling to minimise warping. Store the spool in a dry, sealed container with desiccant when not in use to preserve filament properties and surface quality.
