Shielded Cat6A Keystone Jack IDC 180° by Procab, model 1KPBU351
Procab Shielded Cat6A Keystone Jack IDC 180° (model 1KPBU351) is a shielded RJ45 keystone module designed for structured network installations requiring Cat6A performance. The jack uses insulation displacement contact (IDC) termination in a 180° orientation, providing a compact solution for patch panels, wall plates and keystone modules. Its shielded design supports reduced electromagnetic interference and is intended for installations that demand reliable 10 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity over horizontal cabling.
The shielded housing reduces EMI and improves grounding when used with compatible screened cabling and metal faceplates. IDC termination simplifies field wiring by allowing cable pairs to be terminated without individual conductor stripping, speeding up installation and ensuring consistent contact. The 180° orientation makes the jack suitable for space-constrained panels and recessed outlets while maintaining Cat6A performance characteristics.
Prepare the screened twisted-pair cable by exposing the outer shield and trimming the jacket to the recommended length. Position the cable conductors into the IDC termination slots according to the chosen wiring standard (T568A or T568B). Use the appropriate punch-down or termination tool to seat the conductors into the IDC contacts and trim any excess conductor. Engage the module shield to the mating metal faceplate or panel to ensure continuity of the cable shield to the system ground. Test the terminated link with a cable tester suitable for Cat6A or 10G verification.
Use compatible screened (S/FTP or F/UTP) Cat6A cabling and metal faceplates or patch panels to preserve shielding effectiveness. Follow industry wiring practices and verify terminations with a certified cable tester to confirm performance for 10 Gigabit Ethernet.
