Audio cable Procab PRA712/3 — 3.5 mm stereo jack (male) to 2× XLR male, 3 m
Procab PRA712/3 is a 3-meter audio cable that converts a stereo 3.5 mm jack output into two male XLR connectors, providing separate left and right balanced outputs for connection to mixers, PA systems and professional audio interfaces. The cable is designed for routing consumer or portable device signals into pro audio equipment where balanced connections or discrete channel feeds are required.
The cable provides a direct, compact solution for splitting a stereo 3.5 mm signal into two balanced XLR lines without the need for additional adapters or DI boxes. At 3 meters length it offers practical reach for stage, studio and broadcast setups while keeping clutter to a minimum. Rugged connectors and shielded conductors reduce noise and interference when feeding long cable runs into mixers and PA systems.
Insert the 3.5 mm stereo jack into the headphone or line output of the source device. Connect each XLR male plug to the corresponding XLR input on the mixer, interface or PA system, ensuring left and right channels are routed to the desired inputs. Set input gain on the receiving equipment to an appropriate level and, if available, engage pad or attenuation to match signal levels between consumer outputs and professional inputs.
For best noise performance, keep the cable away from power cables and high-current lighting runs. When connecting mobile devices, disable notifications and automatic volume adjustments to avoid unexpected level changes. If long balanced runs are required beyond this cable length, consider using a dedicated DI box or line-level balancer to maintain signal integrity.
