Instrument cable Procab jack–jack 5 m — professional audio instrument lead
Procab jack–jack 5 m is a professional instrument cable designed to connect electric guitars, basses and other line‑level or instrument‑level sources with 1/4" (jack) outputs to amplifiers, effects pedals and audio interfaces. With a 5‑metre length, the cable provides sufficient reach on stage or in the rehearsal room while maintaining flexibility for routing and pedalboard setups. The build prioritises signal integrity and mechanical durability appropriate for regular practice, live performance and studio use.
The cable features robust jack connectors that deliver stable contact and minimise intermittent connections during movement. Its conductor and shielding design reduces electromagnetic interference and preserves the instrument's tonal characteristics. The outer jacket offers abrasion resistance and flexibility for coiling and transport without compromising performance. The 5 m length balances convenience and manageable signal path for most instrument setups.
Insert one 1/4" jack into the instrument output and the other into the amplifier, pedal input or audio interface instrument input. Avoid sharp bends near the connectors and do not sharply kink the cable when coiling or routing it through tight spaces. For pedalboard use, position the cable to reduce stress on connector joints and keep cable runs as tidy as possible to prevent accidental disconnection on stage. When disconnecting, pull by the connector body rather than the cable jacket to prolong service life.
For optimal signal quality, keep the cable away from power transformers, LED drivers and other sources of electromagnetic noise. Regularly inspect connectors for dirt or corrosion and clean with appropriate contact cleaner if necessary. Store coiled loosely and avoid prolonged tension on the connectors to maintain the cable's mechanical and electrical performance.
