Socket bit 3/8" 7 mm Proline 18307 — 6-point
Proline 18307 is a 6-point socket bit with a 3/8" square drive and a 7 mm hex size. It is designed to engage hexagonal fasteners precisely and is compatible with hand ratchets, extension bars and drive tools that accept a 3/8" fitting. The compact 7 mm head allows access in confined spaces and typical workshop conditions where small metric sockets are required for repair and maintenance tasks.
The 6-point design provides full-face contact with hex fasteners to reduce rounding and improve torque transfer. The 3/8" drive offers a balance between compact size and applied torque suitable for many automotive and mechanical tasks. Manufactured to fit standard 7 mm hex fasteners, the socket bit is easy to position and remove, making repetitive fastening work faster and more controlled.
Select the 7 mm Proline 6-point socket bit and attach it securely to a compatible 3/8" drive ratchet or extension. Position the socket squarely onto the hex fastener to ensure full-face contact, then apply steady torque in the required direction to tighten or loosen. For stubborn or rusted fasteners, use controlled force and appropriate penetrating fluid or heat as needed before applying higher torque. After use, clean any debris and store the socket bit in a protective case or toolbox to prevent corrosion and wear.
Use the 6-point socket for hex fasteners to minimize rounding; avoid using cheater bars or excessive impact on standard hand-drive sockets unless they are specifically rated for impact use. Inspect the socket before each use for cracks or deformation, and replace it if any damage is found.
