Hole Saw Proline 27280 — 1 piece, drill accessory
Proline 27280 hole saw is a single-piece drill accessory designed for cutting precise circular openings in hard surfaces. It features vacuum-soldered diamond grit and a hex 1/4" shank that allows direct mounting into compatible screwdrivers and impact drivers. Intended for work on ceramic tiles, stone tiles and stoneware, this hole saw is supplied as one unit for professional and DIY applications where a round cut-out is required for pipes, conduits or fittings. Note that drilling should be performed dry as specified by the manufacturer.
The vacuum-soldered diamond edge delivers consistent cutting performance and extended wear life compared with conventional abrasive edges. The hex 1/4" shank provides quick, secure attachment to common screwdriver-style and compact drilling tools without additional adaptors. The tool’s construction is optimized for precision holes in brittle, glazed or dense tile surfaces while minimizing chipping when used according to guidelines.
Select the appropriate diameter of the hole saw for the required opening and fit the hex 1/4" shank into a compatible screwdriver or compact drill. Mark the center point on the tile or stone surface, secure the workpiece as needed, and position the hole saw perpendicular to the surface. Apply steady, moderate pressure and start drilling at low-to-medium speed. Maintain a stable tool position to avoid wandering and reduce the risk of chipping. Follow the guidance to perform drilling dry; do not introduce water cooling during operation.
Use protective eyewear and gloves when cutting. For best results on large tiles, support the tile from the rear or clamp it to reduce vibration. If working on ceramic with glazed surfaces, begin with a light pilot score or use a guide to ensure accurate start. Replace the hole saw when cutting performance decreases noticeably to avoid damaging the workpiece.
