Hole saw Proline 27292, diameter 1.2 cm, single piece
Proline 27292 hole saw, diameter 1.2 cm, single piece is a compact cutting tool intended for creating small round openings in materials compatible with hole saws. The tool features a 1.2 cm cutting diameter and a single-piece supply format, suitable for precision tasks such as cable pass-throughs, conduit entries and small-diameter drilling in wood, plasterboard and similar substrates when used with an appropriate drill and arbor. The hole saw uses a vacuum-soldered diamond edge and is designed for use on hard surfaces including ceramic tiles, stone tiles and stoneware. It is supplied with a 1/4" hex shank to enable direct mounting in compatible screwdrivers and drivers. Note that drilling with this diamond-edged hole saw should be performed dry.
The vacuum-soldered diamond edge provides durable cutting performance on hard surfaces and preserves the tool geometry during small-diameter drilling. The 1/4" hex shank allows quick and secure direct mounting in handheld drivers and screwdrivers without additional adaptors. Its compact diameter and single-piece format make it convenient for precise openings where access is limited or when a minimal hole size is required. Dry drilling reduces the need for cooling setups and is compatible with the tool’s diamond bonding method.
Select a compatible drill or handheld driver that accepts a 1/4" hex shank and, if required for stability, fit an appropriate arbor or pilot bit. Mark the center of the intended hole and position the hole saw squarely on the work surface. Begin drilling at low speed to establish the cut, then increase speed moderately while maintaining steady pressure; avoid excessive lateral force. Use dry drilling technique as required for vacuum-soldered diamond tools. Periodically withdraw the hole saw to remove debris and to let the cutting edge clear dust. After completing the hole, inspect the cut edge and remove any loose particles.
Use steady, moderate feed pressure and do not force the tool. For brittle tile surfaces, consider supporting the reverse side or using a sacrificial backing to reduce chipping. Ensure the driver’s speed and torque settings are appropriate for small-diameter diamond cutting and stop if excessive vibration or heat build-up occurs.
