Hole saw Proline 28102 — diameter 10.2 cm, 1 pc
Proline 28102 is a single-piece hole saw with a cutting diameter of 10.2 cm designed to produce precise circular openings in wood, plastics and a range of metals when fitted to a compatible drill and adapter. Made from high-speed steel (HSS) and supplied as a single saw body, this tool is intended for installation, plumbing, electrical and general construction tasks that require clean, repeatable holes up to 38 mm deep.
The HSS construction provides increased wear resistance and cutting performance on non-ferrous metals, aluminum and steel. The saw is configured for mounting with either a hexagonal or SDS-plus adapter, giving flexibility to work with different drill chucks and impact-capable machines. An alternating tooth spacing (4/6 TPI) balances cutting speed and chip evacuation, while the single-piece design reduces the number of joints and potential failure points during repetitive drilling.
Fit the hole saw onto an appropriate arbour/adapter compatible with your drill chuck type (hexagonal or SDS-plus) and install a centering pilot drill to ensure accurate positioning. Secure the workpiece and set the drill to the correct speed for the material: lower speeds for steel and stainless steel, medium for non-ferrous metals and higher speeds for wood and plastics. For steel drilling, apply cutting fluid and maintain a steady feed while keeping the cut area cooled to prolong tool life. Drill to the maximum recommended depth of 38 mm, retracting occasionally to clear chips if necessary.
Use a centering drill and the proper adapter; for steel and stainless steel, operate at reduced speed with coolant or cutting oil and avoid excessive pressure to prevent overheating and tooth damage. Periodically remove chips and inspect the saw teeth; replace the tool if wear or damage is observed to maintain hole quality and user safety.
