Metalworking chisel Proline 31330 — hand chisel for metal, single piece
Proline 31330 is a hand metalworking chisel supplied as a single piece and designed for manual cutting, shaping and removing metal material. Manufactured from quenched, high-quality tool steel with a PVC-covered handle, this chisel is intended for workshop and on-site metal fabrication, fitting, maintenance and repair tasks where a robust hand tool is required.
The quenched tool steel blade offers increased hardness and wear resistance for sustained cutting performance during repeated striking. The single-piece construction provides direct impact transfer and reduces the number of potential weak points. A PVC-covered handle improves grip and user comfort while providing basic protection against slippage and light impacts.
Position the chisel cutting edge against the workpiece at the desired angle and strike the blunt end with a suitable hammer to remove metal in controlled increments. Maintain a secure grip on the PVC-covered handle and ensure the chisel is aligned with the intended cut line to avoid slipping. Use progressive, measured blows rather than excessive force to reduce the risk of tool damage and improve control. After use, clean metal debris from the blade and store the chisel in a dry place to limit corrosion.
Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and gloves. Use a hammer matched to the chisel size and avoid striking the cutting edge directly. Inspect the chisel for signs of damage or excessive wear before each use and re-sharpen or replace the tool if the cutting edge is compromised.
