Metalworking chisel Proline 31355, hand chisel for metalworking, 1 pc pack
Proline 31355 metalworking chisel is a hand chisel designed for cutting, shaping and removing metal material in workshop and on-site applications. Supplied as a single-piece pack, this chisel combines a quenched high-quality tool steel blade with a PVC-covered handle to provide a balance of edge retention and user comfort. The tool is suitable for tasks requiring controlled material removal, such as chisel cutting, burr removal and detail finishing in metal fabrication, repair and maintenance.
The quenched high-quality tool steel blade offers improved hardness and wear resistance for longer service life under repeated striking. A PVC cover on the handle improves grip and reduces slippage, helping to maintain control during precision work. Supplied as a single unit, the chisel is ready for immediate use and is compatible with common striking methods used in metalworking.
Secure the workpiece before starting and choose appropriate personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and gloves. Position the chisel edge on the intended cut or burr and apply controlled strikes to the chisel butt with a suitable hammer. Use steady, measured blows to avoid overcutting or damaging the tool. After use, inspect the cutting edge and, if necessary, recondition or sharpen the blade following standard metalworking sharpening procedures.
Use the chisel only on metals and thicknesses appropriate for a hand chisel; avoid striking against hardened or unknown materials that may chip the edge. Store the chisel in a dry place and protect the cutting edge to maintain performance. Replace the tool if the blade shows cracks or excessive deformation.
