File/Rasp Proline 32236 — hand file/rasp, 1 piece, brand Proline
Proline 32236 is a single-piece hand file/rasp designed for shaping, smoothing and removing material from wood, soft metals and plastics. Crafted from high-quality tool steel with a cut no. 2 tooth pattern, this file/rasp provides a balance between material removal rate and surface finish. The tool is supplied as one piece per pack and features a two-component anti-slip TPR handle for secure handling during manual filing and contour work.
The construction uses high-quality tool steel for durable cutting edges and consistent performance. Cut no. 2 tooth pattern offers medium coarseness suitable for general-purpose shaping while maintaining control. The two-composite anti-slip TPR handle improves grip and reduces hand fatigue during extended use. Single-piece supply makes it easy to select the right tool for woodworking, model making or light metalwork without unnecessary extras.
Hold the file/rasp by the TPR handle with a firm, comfortable grip and position the workpiece securely in a vise or clamp. Apply steady, even strokes in the intended cutting direction, using the file’s flat or curved faces as required to follow contours. For wood, use longer strokes for a smoother finish; for soft metals and plastics, use controlled light pressure to prevent gouging. Clean the teeth regularly with a wire brush to maintain cutting efficiency.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment such as safety goggles and gloves. Select the cut no. 2 file for general-purpose shaping; choose a finer or coarser cut if a smoother finish or faster material removal is needed. Store the file dry and free from corrosive environments to preserve the tool steel surface.
