Proline 36922 is an adjustable hook spanner with 160 mm length designed to engage round nuts, threaded collars and adjustable fittings in confined spaces. The tool is supplied as a single piece and combines a compact profile with a reinforced head and surface treatment to resist wear. Made from chromium-molybdenum steel, this spanner offers the mechanical strength required for maintenance, assembly and repair tasks in mechanical, plumbing and workshop environments.
The spanner is forged for consistent toughness and finished with a phosphate coating to improve corrosion resistance. A reinforced slogging head provides added durability when controlled impact is needed, while the adjustable hook design enables secure engagement of round or slotted parts. The compact 160 mm length improves access in tight areas and the single-piece construction reduces play between components.
Select the hook position that matches the diameter of the nut or collar and seat the hook firmly into the engagement point. Apply steady torque in the required direction, keeping the spanner aligned with the axis of the component to avoid slipping. For stubborn fittings, use the reinforced head for controlled impacts while ensuring the tool remains correctly engaged. After use, wipe the spanner clean and store in a dry place to preserve the phosphated finish.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment when applying impact force. Avoid using the spanner on fasteners that are excessively corroded or deformed, as this can cause slippage or damage to the tool and the part being worked on. Regularly inspect the hook and head for wear and replace the tool if deformation is detected.
