Proline 36932 is an adjustable hook spanner wrench with a 190 mm overall length supplied as a single piece. The tool is forged from chromium-molybdenum steel and phosphated for corrosion resistance. It is designed to engage round nuts, collars and threaded rings that have radial slots or notches, providing reliable contact in confined or hard-to-reach spaces during maintenance, assembly and repair work.
The spanner features a reinforced slogging head that tolerates higher impact forces and improves durability under heavy use. Its forged construction and chromium-molybdenum steel composition ensure high strength and wear resistance, while the phosphated finish reduces surface corrosion. The adjustable hook design offers accurate engagement with slotted or notched components, and the compact 190 mm length allows operation in tight locations where longer wrenches would be impractical.
Select the spanner and position the hook so it engages the slot or notch of the round nut, collar or threaded ring. Apply steady turning force by hand; for increased torque the reinforced slogging head permits controlled impact with a hammer where appropriate. Maintain axial alignment to avoid slipping and ensure the hook remains fully seated in the slot during rotation. After use, wipe the tool clean and store in a dry place to preserve the phosphated surface.
Use eye protection when applying impact to the reinforced head. Check that the hook correctly matches the slot profile before applying force. Avoid excessive sideways leverage that could deform the hook or damage the fastened part. Periodically inspect the tool for wear, and reapply light corrosion protection if the phosphated finish shows wear.
