Manual sanding supply Proline 49027 — abrasive sheet 75 mm × 533 mm, 1 pc
Proline 49027 is a manual sanding supply consisting of one abrasive sheet sized 75 mm × 533 mm, designed for hand sanding and use with sanding blocks or profile holders. The sheet uses a flexible heavy cloth backing (Type X) with a normal full alumina coating and a synthetic resin binder, making it suitable for a range of surface preparation tasks including smoothing wood, paint and fillers, and light material removal during woodworking and renovation work.
The abrasive sheet combines a flexible heavy cloth backing with full alumina grains to provide consistent cut rate and longer life compared with standard paper-backed abrasives. Its synthetic resin binder improves grain adhesion and resistance to loading when sanding softer materials and painted surfaces. The 75 mm width and extended 533 mm length allow comfortable hand control and compatibility with common sanding blocks and profile holders for more uniform results.
Select the appropriate grit grade for the task and wrap or fix the sheet to a compatible sanding block or profile holder to maintain flat contact with the surface. Use steady, even strokes along the workpiece, keeping moderate pressure and checking progress frequently to avoid over-sanding. For curved or profiled surfaces, contour the flexible cloth by hand or use a shaped holder to follow the geometry. Replace the sheet when abrasive performance declines or the cloth backing becomes damaged.
Start with a coarser grit for heavy material removal and progress through finer grits for smoothing and finishing. When sanding painted or varnished surfaces, test on a small area to confirm compatibility and avoid excessive heat build-up. Store the abrasive sheet flat and dry to preserve the backing and resin binder properties.
